Natural Heritage Conservation Program – Land Trusts Conservation Fund
WHC is continuing to monitor the impact of COVID-19 with regard to the implementation of Year 2 of the LTCF program. We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting work in the land trust sector, and this includes capacity and time for preparing grant applications.
Please note that the deadline for Year 2 Large Grant applications has been extended to Monday April 27, 2020 (8:00pm EDT), to give Canadian land trusts some extra time in preparing their submissions; HOWEVER, if you are in a position to complete and submit your application ahead of the deadline, we strongly encourage you to do so. This will help us move all applications through the review process in a timely manner.
We understand that this is a challenging time to be proceeding with projects and project planning. We are hopeful that there are a number of projects that will be in a position to move forward in Year 2; however, we will continue to monitor interest and engagement with the program and will provide further updates on any adjustments that may be required.
