The 2018 MGBH Permit is now available for purchase:
- online, through Environment and Climate Change Canada’s e-Permitting system;
- at Canada Post outlets; or,
- through some independent vendors.
Important information
“To hunt migratory game birds in Canada, you must have a valid federal Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit (or e-Permit) with an affixed (or printed image of a) Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation stamp.
You must know and obey the provincial or territorial hunting and firearm regulations for the province or territory where you will be hunting migratory game birds.
If you wish to receive a physical stamp by mail, check the box when buying your e-Permit. There is no additional charge for shipping the stamp. The physical stamp is not required to validate your e-Permit.

Funds raised from the sale of the Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation stamp go to Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC), a national, charitable, non-profit conservation organization. They have received over $50 million so far, and have used this money to fund more than 1,500 projects.
