The Local Biodiversity Impact Grant Pilot Program (LBIGP) – Powered by Cascades supports organizations, municipalities, and Indigenous communities undertaking high-impact, place-based conservation projects in areas where Cascades has operational facilities. This program funds tangible actions for conservation that restore, protect, and enhance biodiversity while engaging local communities in action for nature.

The grant application window for 2026-2027 opens on September 9, 2026. Eligible organizations have until October 9, 2026 to apply online via WHC’s grant portal.
Successful applicants are expected to enter into a signed agreement with WHC regarding the exchange of funds. All applicants are expected to review the Program Guidelines and sample Letter of Agreement prior to preparing and submitting an application.
