Don Li-Leger
Don Li-Leger was born in North Vancouver, B.C. in 1948 and attended public school in Maple Ridge. After studying at the Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr College of Art and Design), he studied plant ecology at Simon Fraser University and traveled around the world. He also studied painting at the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts and printmaking at Okanagan College.
Art, natural history, and travel have continued to occupy his interests. He has made several journeys throughout North America, Europe, and Asia over the years.
In 1982, Don began publishing reproductions through Canadian Art Prints. He also began exploring printmaking, and produced his first series of serigraphs. Ten years later, he created his first series of etchings. More recently, he has expanded his printmaking to the production of monoprints. His works can be found in many collections all over the world.
