Announcing the 2026 Conservation Stamp Winner!
We’re proud to unveil the winning artwork for the 2026 Conservation Stamp, “Evening Reflections – Northern Shoveler”, created by Winnipeg artist Joseph Koensgen.
A self-taught artist, Joseph has been painting wildlife since age 15, inspired by the natural world around him. His detailed scenes capture the quiet beauty of nature and reflect a deep appreciation for wildlife and conservation.
Recognized early for his talent, he has been featured in Art Business News and selected for national portfolios with Ducks Unlimited Canada. His work continues to inspire connection to the landscapes and species we share.
His creative process begins outdoors—capturing real moments through photography and sketches before bringing them to life on canvas. Through his art, Joseph hopes to inspire appreciation for protecting our natural world.
The 2026 Conservation Stamp is now available. Every purchase supports wildlife habitat conservation across Canada.
