Report: Migratory Birds Regulations in Canada – July 2013
The Canadian Wildlife Service of Environment Canada has released the report:
Migratory Birds Regulations in Canada – July 2013.
The report highlights the changes that have been made to the migratory game birds hunting regulations for the
upcoming hunting season (2013-2014).
In this year’s report, CWS continues the consultation on proposals for designation of Ross’s Geese and the
Western Arctic population of Lesser Snow Geese as overabundant and for reducing the frequency of amending
the hunting regulations. Also, an international harvest strategy for American Black Ducks was adopted and will
be implemented in fall 2013.
