Presenting the 2021 Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp

We are proud to present “On Golden Pond – Common Goldeneye,” an original painting by Ric Sluiter of Pigeon Lake, Ontario.

Ric was born in Toronto and grew up in Mississauga. In 1982, he went to school to study Animation at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. In 1989, he moved to Florida to work at Disney Feature Animation where he worked on such films as: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Bolt, and was an Art Director on Roger Rabbit, Mulan, and Lilo and Stitch.

After working in the animation business for over 35 years, he has retuned to his true passion: painting wildlife. He now spends all of his time living on Pigeon Lake in Ontario where he paints wildlife full time.

Stamp = Conservation

Since 1985, proceeds from the sale of collector’s Stamps, Prints, and the Stamp required to validate the Canadian Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit have directly funded vital conservation efforts across Canada. #whcstampmeans

Not a Hunter? Not a Problem!

You too can support conservation by purchasing a collector’s version of the Stamp, a Print or other great WHC products!
