WHC participates in GreenWays 2012 ECO-Fair
WHC participated in the 2012 Ottawa ECO-Fair, which was held on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Read on for more information and photos from the event!
The Eco-Fair featured exhibits, demonstrations, displays, workshops and a photo/art contest. There was an excellent station to learn all about Worm Composting and another booth where dedicated volunteers turned milk bags into woven mats and bags!
Many organizations were in attendance, including the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Maitland Garden of Hope, Rainbow Foods, and Recyclore.
A delicious lunch was prepared and served by Cooks of the Culinary Apprentice Program of Algonquin College and the afternoon featured great music by the Junkyard Symphony.
Many GREEN vehicles were on display, including self-propelled, electric, hybrids, and alternative fuel vehicles.
It was a great day! A big THANK YOU to John Morrell for organizing such a fantastic event! Hope to see you at next year’s Eco-Fair!
